Our favourite discovery from our recent US trip was craft beer from North Carolina, and the city that blew out all expectations was Charlotte. One of our stops was Resident Culture, and it was mind-blowing stuff so we were super excited to have Co-Founder and Head Brewer Chris Tropeano on the pod. Chris hung out with Cee to chat about his storied craft beer history with Russian River, why he chose Charlotte to open his brewery, their love for lagers and West Coast IPAs, what makes North Carolina beer so special, how they landed their reputation as a hype brewery and the lack of love for mixed fermentation beers. They got into a great series of brews, including Right Time, Riding For The Feeling, Lightning Drops, Radical Empathy, Forever Alone: Citra, and Miami Vice, a great collab with Tripping Animals.
