Champ Libre has been making fantastic beers for the past few years, and they were one brewery we've always wanted to have on. The whole #TeamLactose thing gathered steam in early 2019, and that's really when Cee and Champ Libre founder Alex really connected online.
Thanks to Noah of Beerism, who once again co-hosted with Cee, we finally had Alex on the podcast, primarily to support their most recent trio of releases, including a pilsner barrel-aged for 6 months (it's INCREDIBLE), a barrel-aged Brett variant of their Éloge saison, and a DDH Amarillo version of their NEIPA Soleil Jaune. This was another epic chat, coming in at almost four and a half hours, so strap in. Around an hour to go, we brought in Champ Libre collaborator and multiple-IGA owner Jasen Gaouette to keep Alex's lengthy tangents on a leash. This was super fun, cheers!
