Last summer, Cee and Tiffany headed out east to Quebec City to visit breweries and vlog it up. One place they weren't able to get to was La Souche, so obviously they'll be there next visit but the next best thing was to have the team on the podcast. La Souche are known for their fire sour beers, so we were stoked to have the boys on and get into some brews.
Cee hung out with Co-Founder (and the last remaining original founder) Antoine Bernatchez and Brewer / Supervisor Jean-Christophe Bilodeau (known as JC) to hear the full story of La Souche, they got into their approach to beer, how they dealt with COVID, the lineups that their new smoothie beers caused, canning from their Limoilou brewpub, their award-winning NEIPA and a lot more. They crushed their New England banger, Loup Des Saules, their white wine barrel-aged sour with raspberries, Franc Brett, their smoothie sour collab with Emporium, Frutto Del Rizoma, and capped it off with Crise Exisentielle, their sour IPA. Cheers!
